Catherine (Underwood) Floeder grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and French. Ms. Floeder then returned to her home state for law school, graduating with her J.D. summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2016. Ms. Floeder was admitted to the Minnesota Bar that summer and began practicing with the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis, in their Tax, Trusts, and Estate Planning group. She then spent a year in Norfolk, Virginia, where she did consulting work in the areas of tax and estate planning for Pender & Coward in Virginia Beach, before moving to Beaufort and joining Howell, Gibson & Hughes in early 2019. Today, she focuses her practice primarily on insurance defense, civil litigation, and government law; she also draws on her prior experience in tax law to provide counsel on and litigate governmental tax issues. Catherine is currently licensed in Minnesota and South Carolina.
